Hollyhock House - 1921
Los Angeles, CA
Hollyhock House is Wright's first Los Angeles project. Built between 1919 and 1921, it represents his earliest efforts to develop a regionally appropriate style of architecture for Southern California. Wright himself referred to it as California Romanza, using a musical term meaning "freedom to make one's own form".

The Art and Craft of Textile Design, 1860-1920

Pasadena Museum of History - This exhibition defines the parameters of Arts and Crafts design and shows the variance of stylization within the art form. Textiles from 1860 to 1920 on display include fabrics from Great Britain and continental Europe, as well as from the United States.

Living Beautifully: Greene and Greene in Pasadena

Representative objects from the Greenes’ early lives, schooling, apprenticeships, Pasadena office, workshop and homes will be displayed, accompanied by images of their early work, and of Pasadena in the late 19th and first quarter of the 20th centuries.
